Invest Puerto Rico

Luis Ramos: We are very fortunate that in Puerto Rico we have a very talented and skilled workforce. Puerto Rico has a strong manufacturing background. We’ve gone from agricultural to manufacturing. We’re now looking into the future to a knowledge based economy. We have four engineering universities, which provide the technology and the talent and are willing to invest and work with private business in order to make businesses successful on the island.

Jose Eduardo Vidal : I get to work with professionals from all around the globe. We are second to none in, in how we prepare students, how hard and disciplined they are when it comes to science and their working ethics.

If you see Puerto Rico, we have two distinct things that actually attract business from outside. We have highly trained engineers, highly trained professionals, and every given industry, but we also have a full bilingual workforce.

Manuel Mellado: Puerto Rico has a long relationship with the us. We’ve been working together for more than 67 years. I have seen the culture that the Puerto Rican workforce has as it relates to, uh, working in a fast paced environment. Driving results being accountable.

Luis Ramos: We are also collaborating with the Department of Economic Development and Commerce of Puerto Rico on an initiative that is called Puerto Rico 21st Century Workforce.

And what that seeks, it’s to prepare the next wave of highly skilled resources and technologies that will be able to meet the demand of the new companies or companies like ours that are already establishing port.

Laura Cantero: The Puerto Rican workforce, a bilingual, educated, driven workforce, continues to be our biggest asset.
